When: 05 January - 09 January 2016
Where: Tristan Bates Theatre
What: Homestead, written and directed by Steven Dykes, based on La Casa de Bernada Alba by Federico Garcia Lorca.
Governed by their mother's faith, following their father's death, the Beckman daughters face a lengthy confinement in their remote Texan homestead.
Set in the American South of the turbulent 1950s, this is a thrilling reimagining of Lorca's masterpiece.
“You go scratching an itch, that itch is just going to get worse. These girls’ll scratch themselves raw given the chance, scratch on till they bleed to death, you let ‘em.”
